Life is full of the common ups and downs; money is tight, rent is due, unexpected expenses, unexpected deaths, failed relationships. Whatever the case may be, do not let the negative aspects of life consume you. Worrying and crying yourself into a deep depression are ways in which you nurture the circumstances, not to mention the unnecessary grief you bring upon yourself. Working towards the solution shouldn’t involve you having to take control, but rather intervene to do what you CAN do to rectify the situation or at least find steady ground to stand on. The answer is realizing that God is in control and that steady ground is called “FAITH”.
As humans we have the physical ability to act upon our emotions, we need to learn to spirituality bind our thoughts and feelings to know that regardless of how we feel or what we are going through that the end result is already written…we just have faith to KNOW that it is all in God’s plan. Life doesn’t always happen in the order in which you would like it to happen. Life doesn’t happen HOW you want it to happen and life doesn’t always have the silver lining in which we would like it to have. Life is misery, pain, sadness, hurt, joy, laughter, glory, victory… pain, sadness, hurt… it’s a cycle; situations in which we experience life at its best and its worst. Faith is knowing that you will pull through and that the dark clouds that are circling above you are only a thin sheet of sorrow thrown over the amazing sunshine you will soon see again. I know, easier said than done when you have 24 hours before you are evicted and your stuff is on the street, easier said than done when you’re suddenly all alone with no one to turn to… but what is Faith? Faith is believing or trusting in something/someone without proof that it/he/she exists (in so many words). Having faith is knowing what you believe to be true, knowing that God has a plan for you. It might be that you WILL be evicted and have to find the means of finding a new place, even when it isn’t physically feasible. God takes us out of situations to lead us in a new direction. You may not always agree with the circumstances, your finances may not always agree with the circumstances, but remain faithful and KNOW that God has other plans for you and will never put more on you than you can handle. Be still, have faith, pray, believe…smile.
So what consumes you? Will you raise the white flag and surrender to the everyday life events that could potentially bring you to the knees of the enemy? Or will you trust in God and KNOW that your life is written in the order in which it needs to occur? Be consumed by your faith. Be consumed by the grace, love and undeniable, untainted acceptance that only GOD can purely give to you. Pay attention, watch, listen, pray, have faith…count your blessings and make room for more.
